Italy and Switzerland Itinerary Help

Hello,

I will be visiting friends in Ireland this summer and am trying to figure out an reasonable itinerary to see Italy and Switzerland. I am in my 30's, good health and traveling with my husband. We will have approximately 13 days for travel. My flight home to LA is looking like it will leave out of Milan (the cheapest place for my miles) I have been to italy twice before and never to Switzerland. So far this is what I have and the troubles I am dealing with. Leaving out of Ireland Ryan Air seems to be the only flight that is reasonable. My choices to this area seem to be either be Basel or Milan. What I would like to see in Switzerland is the Oberland Bernese. I was thinking 4 days and maybe another night in Lucern before heading out. Lucern is optional and if it doesn't make sense direction wise no problem to get rid of. Next point of interest is Sardinia for 4 nights. I realize this is out of the way but my reasoning is that it is one of the places I have not been, looks beautiful, my husband really wants to be near water (have already been to cinque, almalfi, como and venice) and I do not want to be too hot as Italy is unbearable in the summer (learned that the hard way before) Easyjet flies there 1 and 1/2 hr flight from Geneva. Lastly I would be interested in any charming northern villages within reasonable distance and accessible by train from Milan if anyone thinks it will not be too hot. If not I wouldn't be opposed to seeing Como again (If it easier to get to since I am close or using the days elsewhere. I can't seem to figure out the best order without double tracking too much. If anyone has other suggestions of seeing similar type things that would be easier/closer I am open to that. So far my thought was Ireland to Basel, train to Lauterbrunnan (maybe staying in Wengen) Geneva to Sardinia and Sardinia to Milan. Milan either home or 2 nights in cute village around there. Your thoughts are greatly appreciated!!!!
