Italy and May 1st Holiday

We are planning a trip to Italy and having difficulty with planning sightseeing on May 1st. Does anyone know if all sights in Florence are closed on May 1st? And, we can’t find info for the Leaning Tower of Pisa on May 1st. Do you know if the Leaning Tower is open on May 1st?

The best thing to do is check the official websites of the places you want to visit. Googling usually makes identifying the official site pretty easy if you use a desktop computer. On my tablet, things are not always so clear.

I don't see any sign that the Leaning Tower will be closed on May 1, but I hope someone else can verify that.

Most (probably all) museums are closed on May 1, nationwide, due to the Labor Day holiday.
Churches and cathedrals should be open in both Florence and Pisa. The leaning tower, the cathedral and the baptistery of Pisa are open (but not the Opera del Duomo Museum).
Florence is an open air museum. So even walking around town outdoor will provide plenty of 'viewing' opportunities of art work, monuments, palaces, cathedrals, etc.
