Four of us are going to Italy in September. We may not have time to do both. Which should we choose - Amalfi Coast or Cinque Terre?
September is a great time of year to visit the Amalfi Coast. It's no longer sticky-hot like in the summer, and it almost never rains.
Probably the Amalfi Coast. There is a lot there to see in a fairly compact area. Sorrento would be a good base.
The Amalfi Coast, if you have to choose just one. Italy's coast with the most!
Rick has heavily promoted the CT, which has understandably influenced people on this site.
Either destination is great, but of course you'll want to independently check out and research what the Amalfi Coast has to offer, before making your decision--suggest you don't just rely heavily on what you read here but rather make your own decision after consulting other travel boards as well.
The Amalfi Coast. No question for us!
Amalfi Coast. There's so much to do & see. We spent five nights there a few years ago and wished we had more time. Spent one day in Capri, one visiting Pompeii, one taking the amazing ride down the coastline. Great place.
