Flying from California...Rome seems to have 2 airports....Any advice on which one to use?

Fiumicino (FCO), aka Leonardo Da Vinci airport
The other one (Ciampino) is only for low cost intra Europe flights.

Use the one your airplane lands on. A direct flight from the US will only be at FCO. A connecting flight within Europe could be either. Clampino is little closer and only has bus service to Rome.

Only RyanAir and WizzAir (a Hungarian low cost airline) use CIA airport.
Unless you fly either on a intra European flight, CIA will not be your airport.
