Hi
I will be in Pisa for a week before our cooking class in Tuscany and would love some suggestions on places to visit in that area since we will eventually travel to Florence and Milan. We were thinking Lucca and San G and Cinque Terre. Any other places we could go by train for the day around Pisa?

No train to SG and it’s a good 3 hour bus ride with changes
Siena maybe (but for me too long for a day trip)
Where exactly is the cooking class?
”tuscany” is a huge area not a single town

Hmmm, Interesting choice to choose to base for a week. Hope you've given Florence nearly the same amount of time, unless you've been there before?
Day trips: Pistoia? San Miniato?
If wishing to do the CT, I'd highly advise staying in one of the villages for a night or two. You might also consider staying in Lucca for a couple of nights instead of the full week in Pisa.
