We will be traveling through Sicily on a Rick Steves tour, and will finish in Palermo. We want to travel to mainland and see the amalffi coast and naploes. What would be the easiest way and the shortest time to achieve this?

Fly from Palermo to Naples. Take the Curreri Viaggi shuttle bus from the Naples airport to Sorrento. Make Sorrento your base. From Sorrento you can easily explore the Amalfi coast region by bus and/or ferry.
