Italo Treno Napoli Centrale location

I will be taking the Circumvesuviana train from Sorrento to Naples (Centrale) and will store my luggage for a few hours and then return to retrieve it and catch a train to Rome. I am thinking of taking the new Italo train instead of Trenitalia because they offer a train at a better time than Trenitalia, but I'm wondering where the Italo station is in proximity to the Trenitalia station? If I retrieve my luggage in Napoli Centrale, how do I then get to the Italo Treno station? Do Italo and Trenitalia share the same station? Thank you for your assistance.

There is no separate station. Italo trains depart from the same station where the Freccie trains from Trenitalia do in Napoli. In Roma, Italo trains use different stations: Ostiense and Tiburtina.

Andre, is the Roma Tiburtina station much further from the centro storico area than the Termini station? I was planning to take a taxi from Termini to our hotel near the Pantheon but if I take the Italo train to Tiburtina, would the distance probably be the same to the Pantheon area? Thanks for your input.

I am not Andre, but I can answer that Tiburtina to Pantheon is just over 6 km. Termini to Pantheon is just about 3 km. Termini and Tiburtina are 4 Metro stops apart.

Thanks Nigel. I guess in terms of the cost of a taxi, it will cost more to get from Roma Tib. to the Pantheon but it's not a huge difference. Thanks so much for answering my question!

Both stations (Tiburtina and Termini) are relatively close on central-ish locations.
