Italo Train seat

Hi, how do we know the seat of Italo train is facing forward? I will be taking train from Rome to Florence. Thereafter Florence to Venice. Thank you.

There is no way to know which direction the seat is facing. Trains may have to reverse their direction even multiple times during their run, so the ticket system is not programmed to consider seat direction.

Both your trips are in a single direction, but the train itself changes direction when calling at Firenze SMN. The usual advice is that if you are two people you can reserve two facing seats and be sure that one of them will be facing forward. Or, if the train is not full, try to change seat. But, frankly speaking, travel on fast trains is very smooth and I do not remember in real life ever seeing people having issues with travel sickness.
