The Italo site has schedules out to Oct with fares etc,can you book them this far out or is it still the 120 day deal? I tried for Oct 9th but the reservation had a not paid in full message at the end of the process. I was just taking a practice run through their site.

I'm booked on Italo from Roma Tiburtina to Bologna next Saturday May 30. I bought and paid for that ticket online on January 18 with no problem.

I just booked with Italo last week for middle of September. They are open further out than 120 days, just stumbled on that fact. I was getting a message similar to yours when i would put in all my information saying to call a certain number. I tried twice. (this was after I had already booked one leg of my trip successfully).
I googled this problem, and some people were asking about it all the back 2 years ago (same exact notice), so it's something that is not a new problem...a quirk. Anyway, it was happening to me last Friday. I waited until Sunday, and it went through. I'd try again tomorrow or Saturday.
What I read is if you call them, they can see what you are trying to do from their computer and they will make it go throught immedietaly, you are only on the phone a couple minutes to Italy. I looked up Italy rates (we have Xfinity phone) and it's only 8 cents/minute. But...I'd try again on your PC before I'd do that.

I, too, am booked far in advance. Booked last weekend for last of August. I did notice the site would not let me book that far in advance on the page that showed their terminals. I could click terminals for start trip and end trip and set the date, but the site would not load any choices. When I returned to the main bookings page, I was able to select dates, terminals, one way or two way tickets and viola, there were my numerous time choices. Some time choices did not have any "smart" seats available. My seats, we upgraded to "extra large" seats were 20 euro apiece. I hope this helps.
