I have traveled on Italo many times from Rome to Venice, but, in attempting to book the route for 11 June, I am getting an error message that says, "We are sorry, there are not available trains for this choice. Please select a different journey." The last available train displayed is for Saturday, June 9. I assumed that perhaps I was booking too far out, but that isn't the case with other cities I tried for the same date (Rome-Florence, for example). Does anyone know whether Italo will not be serving Venice after early June? Thanks.
Jeff, train schedules are readjusting on June 10th. There WILL be trains but while some of them between other locations may be showing now, timetables for others are lagging behind so just keep checking back. This may be explanatory and reassuring:
There are still a few mistakes on loco2. The biggest one is that all trenitalia trains can be booked up to june 9, not some trains.
This is quite important because trenitalia after June 10 is going to switch to a 180 days booking system (and Italo might soon make the same). All trains will be bookable up to the next timetable change
I was referencing just the Italo info as that's what Jeff was asking about but good to know that they might follow Trenitalia's lead.
You are right, but future readers may stumble upon this thread.
Thanks to all for the helpful responses.
On Loco2, I was able to book a train from Rom to Venice last Saturday, on Trenitalia for June 13th. (I checked the Trenitalia site afterwords and it showed up there as well.) But I noticed that you still couldn't book Italo at that point for that date.
