We need a departure time change for tomorrow. My ticket says I have one change permitted according to my invoice. The website says to email or call customer care. I emailed customer care because it’s a voicemail by phone. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Did they re-sell you an Economy fare ticket by Trenitalia? You can make changes clicking the "Manage your ticket" link on the official site. Of course ItaliaRail should have sent you the recovery code and the PNR code of that ticket.
Changes can be done also at the Counter, before the departure time.
Dario, that seems to be the case, a resell. I did not get a recovery code. If I want to depart at 1320, how early do I have to get to the counter. Certain things on the website and my email seem contradictory.
I don't know if you can change a ticket at the counter without the recovery code. I think it's possible, but I don't know that for sure. I'd rather wait for ItaliaRail to reply, they know what to do.
If you are not going to wait, you'd better arrive at the station at least one hour and half before the scheduled departure time of the train you have a ticket for.
