Italian travel to US

Have a buddy coming to visit in a couple of weeks. Italian citizen which is no prob but he has an entry stamp from Jordan in his passport and he's wondering if there are any restrictions or potential problems from that. I don't think so and can't find anything on it but thought I'd ask here to double check.

I haven't heard of any restriction on that. I know some countries (not including the U.S.) won't let you in if you have an Israel stamp in your passport, but I've never heard of that for Jordan. At worst, his travel record may make a Customs and Border Protection officer take a closer look.

Of course, no one here can give a definitive answer. But Jordan is not a country which has bad relations with the US. Now, if your friend had stamps from places like North Korea, Iran, or Cuba, I could understand the concern. Because of Petra, many Americans go to Jordan, and I think that if it caused any trouble for them, we'd have heard about it by now.

Thanks for the replies. Didn't think it was anything to be concerned about but never hurts to double check.
