Italian Touring Club Maps

I don't plan on having a GPS for our 5 Days in Tuscany w/ a car. I've looked at Michelin maps, which are often mentioned here but don't particularly like the look of them (personal preference). Has anyone used the ITC maps? I haven't found them locally and am leary of purchasing site unseen.

If I choose not to buy Michelin here, where do you recommend I purchase a map once I get to Italy? My first stop is Rome before heading to Sorrento, then to Orvieto where I will pick up the car.

Once you get there, stop in any bookstore you see for a wide selection of maps. You can choose the brand and scale that most appeals to you. You can also get them at the rest stops on the Autostrade. They will be cheaper there. One less thing you have to worry about before you leave.

I used trektools.com to buy the ITC maps as well as a provincial map of the Asti area. They were priced reasonably and delivered quickly. I wanted to have them before we go so I could map out our various routes.
