I am looking for booking sites based in Italy for accommodations. At one time someone did post 5 Italian sites that local Italians use to book their accommodations. Thanks!

Try AirB&B. I got a good deal on an apartment for two months last summer, when the owner preferred to have it rented continuously rather than turned over. I did my own cleaning. This was in Rome.

I would use booking.com over Air BnB. There seem to be more listings and the fee is less.
A Google search for rentals using terms in Italian turns up these sites.

We have used VRBO.com many times for both short term and long term rentals and have never had a bad experience.

I have used both airbnb and vrbo with good success. I only rent properties that have several recent good reviews.
