Hello!
We originally were considering the Cinque Terre towns, but are now considering a 7-10 day stay in a town with more dining options. We also want to be able to do some swimming and hiking!
Can anybody recommend some options?

Rapallo or Santa Margherita Ligure. Camogli nearby is lovely just small.

Lerici on the Gulf of the Poets would be a good choice. Numerous restaurants and two good free beaches and it's a beautiful town. You can hike directly from town or take a local bus for a few minutes as it's on the edge of the Park of Montemarcello. You can visit Tellaro, Montemarcello, as well as catch the ferry to Portovenere and Cinque Terre. If you are driving you need to get parking arranged with your hotel. If no car, there are frequent buses from La Spezia Centrale station.
