Italian Honeymoon Itinerary Help!

My fiance and I have just booked our plane, tickets to Italy this June for our honeymoon. Flying into and out of Rome. We are going to be there 8 day and 8 nights. PlaCesar we would like to see- Rome, Florence, Venice, Cinque Terre. Assuming we can't do it all? What is the best plan to see the most, but not kill ourselves trying to do it all?

Flying in and out of Rome you can reasonably do 3 locations, but I think trying to do all 4 would be too hectic. Spend the first couple of days in Rome. Then.... Option 1: Go from Rome to Venice. Stop in Florence on the way back and spend your last night in Rome. Option 2: Go from Rome to Florence. Then go to Cinque Terre and return to Rome for your last night. Had you done open jaws into Venice and out of Rome, you might have been able to squeeze in all 4 (Venice, Florence, Cinque Terre, then Rome), but it would have been very fast-paced.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! We honeymooned in Italy ourselves and it's a magical romantic place to go!

I would pick two to three of your wishlist spots and divvy your time between them. If you literally just booked your tickets today, see if you can cancel them and buy open jaw tickets; fly into Venice and out of Rome. If you can't do that, I would advise hitting the road immediately upon arrival to the chosen destination furthest from Rome so you can backtrack your way back to Rome and not split your limited days up with two different stays in Rome. More efficient use of your time. Definitely follow Rick's advice and know that you should plan to come back and you can't see it all in one trip :) and that's ok!
