Italian car rental

Hertz budget etc are worldwide but the Hertz agencies etc in Italy have no relation to the USA agencies

We always rent thru AutoEurope.com
And have had Hertz, Europcar, Avis thru them

Please do a search for renting car and driving in Italy as this topic comes up very frequently

In my experience, bigger European companies (Sixt, EuropeCar, etc) are just as "good" as their American-branded counterparts. Hertz Italy is not even the same actual company as Hertz USA I don't think that there is an ounce of benefit from the American-branded companies. Choose whatever gives you the best availability, rates, etc.

FWIW, I've even rented from small mom & pop places with absolutely no problem.

Those companies are franchises, so they may be Italian companies franchisees and not American companies.
