Booking online from Canada wont accept postal code. Wants zipcode. Thoughts?

Since the airline is handling your ticketing entirely online, I doubt that they need your proper street address. I would just enter a US zip code. When I had problems purchasing online tickets on Italian websites, if asked for a local address, I plugged in my hotel’s without a problem.

do you think it will matter that the address is different on my passport? I'm booking a domestic flight, Rome to Catania.

I managed to complete the booking by using zero (0) as my zip code/postal code
