I booked a flight on ITA Airways’ website. The next day I went to change the flight on the website but it didn’t recognize my 6 digit confirmation code, so I called to cancel. The agent in Albania was helpful and said she cancelled the flight, but by the next day I hadn’t received an email about the cancellation. I called ITA again and that agent insisted that I didn’t cancel it in time. He would not transfer me to his supervisor upon my request. That phone call was over 20 minutes long because of the language barrier. I do not know where he was located, but his English was poor and not good enough to manage transactions with English- speaking customers. I got another ITA representative on the phone and he was worse.
I went back to the website numerous times but I could not access my information for that cancelled flight, nor for the new flight I scheduled on line.
A headache all around. My CC is disputing the $742 and $45 ITA charges, for the flight and seat respectively.
