It Taxi app

Has anyone used the It Taxi app? We are traveling next month, mainly in Florence, Perugia, and Verona. I understand that Uber is only available in Rome and Milan. I found this other app that I believe is more widely available. You can pay online and track the progress of the cab on GPS. However, when I try to register, it says it's sending me a confirmation code by text, but the text never comes.

Anybody out there who has used this app?

Yes, I've used it once and it was reliable. You probably aren't getting the confirmation code because it can only SMS Italian numbers but also check the email you registered with. Maybe it's there.

I used it when we lived in Italy and it was good. If you will get an Italian SIM while in-country, you can sign up then.

Oddly, when it asks for your phone number, you can choose the US prefix +1. But then I guess it can't text you.
