due to Papal audiences on Wednesday?
We arrive Monday night. I figure we'd be too wiped out to get up at 5:00 AM Tuesday the next day. Thursday I have the Vatican Scavi tour at 9:00 AM, which only leaves me Friday as we depart for Florence on Saturday.
Any input welcome
Alternatively, there used to be late opening of the Vatican Museums on Friday evening. Not a tour, but fewer people than mid-day.
Wednesday is fine! It's always busy, but the early entry at least allows you some relief at the beginning of the tour.
Vatican Museums are still open on Friday nights, but you may need to get the ticket in advance. I'm doing this in a couple of weeks and its open quite late.
Thanks everyone! Maybe we will do Wednesday since the tour starts at 7:00 AM. Friday night sounds intriguing too, but hate to wait until the very end of our stay in case something happens as the Vatican tour is the #1 thing to see on our three week trip.
