Is this Florence VRBO rental in a good location?

We are considering a VRBO apartment rental in Florence for the 4 nights we will be staying there during our honeymoon this coming October. It's cute, well reviewed, and within the budget. We thought it would be fun to do the apartment thing for our honeymoon rather than a traditional hotel, although we are still open to other options. I'm only just beginning to get my bearings on maps of Florence, so maybe folks here can help me decide whether this would be a good place to stay in terms of the neighborhood. It's on the northern side of the river and appears to be about a block west of the Piazza Santa Croce (really more northwest-ish). The ad says it's around the corner from Vivoli and describes very short walk times to many of the biggest attractions we would like to see while in Florence. We will not have a car, so walkability is key. Anyone ever stayed in that part of Florence, or have a sense of what staying there would be like?

This is my favorite neighborhood to sleep in! I've been to Florence three times, and always rent an apartment in the Santa Croce neighborhood.

If you can get the exact address of the property you can use Google Maps satellite view and see how close you are to everything. Florence isn't LA, very condensed so easy to explore on foot. Santa Croce is a nice neighborhood. Good choice.

I agree with previous posters - I love this neighbourhood. The historical centre of Florence is very walkable. You are a 10 minute walk from the Uffizi and similar to the Duomo from this area. The Bargello is maybe a 5 minute walk.

....and after you have the address use Google Street View, and "walk" up and down the adjacent streets to look at the neighborhood.
