I heard there's a planned airport strike on May 8, 2018 at the Rome airport. Where can I get more info. Does anyone know how long these can last & what is often affected. My airline carrier wasn't able to tell me anything.

I recall that in previous strikes like this there are several cancellations of domestic flights, within Italy. Airlines may not say anything about the strike until about 24 hours beforehand and would offer some re-scheduling at that stage.

There is an official Rome Airports app that is useful for checking your flight or flights generally, over the next few days, at Fiumicino or Ciampino. You can get it at the official website.
