Is there a ZTL leaving Florence going to Piazza Michelangelo?

Heading to Siena tomorrow in rental car but would like to get to the viewpoint quickly before heading off. Wondering if it’s safe to drive there without running into a ZTL. Picking up rental car on Borgo Ognissanti.

Have the rental car staff give you directions. Here is a map of ZTLs in Florence.

I'm not sure, but you may have to drive out then loop around to P. Michelangelo.

If Roberto sees this, he may give you explicit directions.

Take this route, EXACTLY:

The ZTL Camera is on Lungarno Amerigo Vespucci, just east of the intersection with the bridge. You must turn right (south) onto the bridge and therefore you won’t go through it. Make sure you don’t go straight (east). Turn right into the bridge.

That ZTL gate and the camera is very conspicuous and there is also a red light when in effect and the signs have with warnings in Italian and English. It is pictured below. You can’t miss it, unless you had to much Chianti.

Thank you! I never made it though. The apartment owner in our next stop wanted us to arrive early, so we didn’t get a chance to get to the viewpoint on our way out. However, that’s the exact way I left the city :-).

Roberto, we are dropping a car off at the Hertz on your map at the beginning of our stay in Florence In about a month, so it's a relief to know that we can drive there without going into the ZTL. We may enter from nearly that same route, coming from Greve in Chianti unless you have a better idea. In the photo, is the camera on the tall arched pole? Or is it on the post with all the signage, at the left? Want to be sure I know what to look for. Grazie!
