Is there a Florence equivalent to the Roma Pass?

Is there a Florence pass that gives discounts on museums and also serves as a transportation pass? Thanks!

Not to my knowledge but it has been three years since we were there. Florence is small enough that bus/public transportation is not a major issue.

Unless you are REALLY not a walker, the only time you will need to take a bus is perhaps to visit Fiesole above Florence. The city is much more compact than Rome and while there are buses, we rarely saw them on the streets except right around the Duomo.

There is the Friends of the Uffizi for museums. I don't know anything about it, but there are a number of discussions on this board.

Hi Monique,
Liz was right- the Friends of Uffizi (go on their website for specifics and how to purchase here) pass covers most of the Florence museums, allows you to skip lines, and is good for a yr but does not include transportation. You do need to show your passport to prove your identity but color copies are good enough except for Accademia where you must show an original.
I also agree w/Liz that Florence is very walkable. We stayed in Oltrano (which is south) and it never took us more than 20 minutes to get to the furthest locations.
Also see the posting about taxis in Florence... wish I had known that before :)!

No I'm walker but I was looking more into the museum discounts. I saw the Friends of Uffitzi thing. It's like all the museusm are free for a 60 euro ticket. I don't want to see all the museums, but if they could slide me a free one or two like Rome does with the Roma Pass, I'd love it.

Hi Monique,
We just came back last week and only paid 100 Euros for 4 tickets... 60 Euros for one doesn't sound right... When you calculate the cost of each place (of course depending on how many you're going to see and how long you'll be there) it well paid for itself in both admission prices and skipping lines.

I think it's 100 euro for a family of 4, but since there are only 3 of us, we would have to get individuals it would cost 60 euro each

...or (loophole alert!!) if we split the 100 euro (for a fam of 4) amongst the 3 of us, we would still end up paying less than 60 each and have an extra pass. Is that legit?
