Hello, taking a retirement trip to Florence Italy- I have a VRBO rental apt. I would like to get one pass to cover the big museums that last more than 3 days. Thanks
Congratulations on your retirement!
I do know the Uffizi has an annual pass for €70 that covers the Pitti Palace and Boboli gardens, the Archeological Museum and the Opificio Pietre Dure Museum (well worth a visit!). It gives you priority access to the Uffizi, etc, as many times as you’d like-no need for a timed entrance. I would suggest you will want to go more than once during the month. As far as a 30 day, I don’t know if there is one, but I don’t believe there is or my husband and I would have been interested when we were there for a month.
Hopefully you will get more information on a 30 day or possibly a way to cut costs for all the museums. We couldn’t even get the Firenze Card as it had been discontinued.
Take a moment and add up what costs might be-if you happen to qualify as over 65, be sure to figure that in, for all the museums you want to see. Sometimes it isn’t as much as it seems at first glance. (Be sure to include the Davazanti House and the Galileo!)
Hi JOHEY -
There is no pass that covers the majority of the museums and lasts more than 72 hours but there is an annual pass that covers unlimited visits to the Uffizi, Pitti Palace, Boboli Gardens, National Archaeological Museum and the Museum of the Opificio delle Pietre Dure.

The Firenze Card was briefly discontinued during the COVID period but has been re-activated. You probably knew that, although it's still only 72 hours max in activation. You can currently extend it another 48 hours for free, though.

Editing to add: worth mentioning, in case you missed it, is that the duomo complex has its own passes:

We were in Florence for 6 days in March 2023. We bought the Firenze pass, using the app, so that we got the extended 48 hours after the first 72 hours. It's important to note that you can reactivate for the additional 48 hours any time within the year? it doesn't have to be immediately after your first 72 hours. We purposely made our trip museum-heavy and appreciated having card so that we could book timed entry to Uffizi and Galleria - you need to call to make those reservations, but you don't actually have to have purchased the card at the time you make the reservation, just need to show it when you go to pick up the ticket for your reserved time. For us, it was worth it. While I hope to get back to Florence again, I wanted to concentrate on the museums for this trip when it wasn't in the height of tourist season so next time we can do more people watching and change our pace. We also visited the cathedral, and the associated museums during those 6 days (we didn't climb the dome or the bell tower). If you are going for 30 days, you could easily space out your 72 hrs, and additional 48 hrs on the Firenze card throughout your time, and fit in the cathedral at a more leisurely pace.
