Traveling to Italy on / about 23 December 2024. Have about 10-days to visit.
Looking to spend time in Rome and Naples. Want to spend time at Pompeii - two to three days maybe. But really want to go to Sorrento / Almafi Coast as well. Concern is that the weather will be cold and may not be the best time of year to visit Sorrento.
Any recommendations on traveling to Sorrento in December / January?

It can be lovely and festive, at least that was our experience in mid-Dec some years ago. Be aware that it gets very busy with Italian tourists between Christmas and New Years so be sure you can get reservations for hotel and plan to reserve for dinner or you may be disappointed.
Probably worth mention that most of the ferries won't be running at that time of year, although they'll still be operating between Naples and Sorrento, and Naples or Sorrento and the islands (like Capri). That is, of course, unless the weather is so bad that crossings would be dangerous. Not a deal breaker by any means but, well, worth mention. :O)
