I'm trying to figure out how far in advance we need to be at the airport (FCO) for a 6:45 am flight to CDG/Paris. Is 2 hours enough since it's not considered an international flight? I know the airport will probably be fairly busy at that time of the morning but I just can't see getting there at 3:45 am unless it's absolutely necessary. Thank you in advance for your input.

You have more leeway if you're not checking bags. But given current heightened security concerns in Europe, esp. a flight going to Paris, it's just hard to say. Good luck.

Two hours is standard but I would be there earlier than that. Maybe give yourself an extra half hour.

Plan to go a little earlier than normal. Better to be early and not need the extra time than the other way around.
