Hello, traveling to Italy in a few weeks and need to know if I need an electricity converter for my iPhone. Apple states its a world phone and I know I need an adapter but will I need a converter? TIA!
I'm sure you won't need a converter - just a simple plug adapter.
You will only need a plug adapter.
If you go to Naples (or even Rome or Milan) you also need a chain to secure it to a body part of yours.
For sure don’t carry it in your back pocket half hanging out.
jc,
The Apple charger is designed to accommodate a range of voltages from 100-240 VAC. You can verify that by checking the fine print on the small charging cube, looking for the words "Input Voltage" (you may need a magnifying glass). As the others have mentioned, you will need a Euro plug adapter which has two round pins. The Apple charger does not have a ground pin, so a two pin plug adaptor will be fine. I'd suggesting packing a couple of adaptors on your trip, as they're small and easily misplaced.
Of course you'll also have to contend with the issue of getting a roaming plan with your home cell network or buying a SIM when you arrive in Italy (assuming your phone is unlocked).
The overwhelming majority of portable electronics these days are dual voltage and the iPhone is no exception - just get an adapter for the charging block
