iPhone with Skype in Italy?

I wanted to use Skype with my iphone in Italy. But it seems like in the US ATT only allows Skype application over wifi, but not over their data plan. What about in Italy? Can I use Skype via wifi in Italy? or do I have to buy one of the ATT 20MB or 50MB data roaming package?

Wifi is wifi wherever you go. If Skype/iPhone works over wifi here, I'm fairly certain that it will work over wifi in Italy. Skype wasn't available for iPhone when I was in Italy last summer, but I ran other iPhone apps over wifi there without any problems.
