I am in Sorrento and have not been able to get cell service yet. I turned off the data plan but perhaps there is another feaature/setting I need to set. Getting wireless o. My ki idle has been great. Thanks

Patricia, Have you been able to get cell service at all since you've been in Europe? The phone should automatically search for available networks, but that doesn't appear to be happening so you may need to go to Settings > Carrier to find out if it's set to "Automatic". If you switch that "Off", it should start to search. If it gives you a choice of networks, selecting TIM should work. Also, if you turned off the data by switching to "Airplane Mode", you'll need to switch that back on and block data roaming and cellular data in the Settings. I'd probably make a note of the "Usage" to confirm that you're not using any cellular data. Good luck!

Patricia, I'm not sure about AT&T but with T-Mobile you have to get them to activate international roaming before your phone will work overseas. Maybe a call to AT&T might fix it. (But find a cheap way to call, such as skype or a prepaid calling card. You'll likely be on hold for a while before you can reach a representative.)
