Hi, I'm trying to find out if this Io viaggio ovunque in Lombardia pass can be purchased from Domodossola station?
I will be leaving from Domodossola to Peschiera del Garda for a couple of days and then to Varenna and Milan. I am planning to purchase the 7-days IVOL pass and a ticket from Domodossola to Arona (as I understand IVOL pass can only be used from Arona onwards). By doing so, I would not need to leave the train from Domodossola to Peschiera del Garda correct?
My only concern now is if the IVOL pass can be purchased from Domodossola Station.
I don't know, as said above Domodossola is in Piemonte as you know, but it is served by the TreNord trains from Milan. When I was at Lake Maggiore a couple of weeks ago it seemed clear to me that the various systems work fairly well together.
I actually wouldn't be surprised if the TreNord ticket machine at Domodossola had them. It does say in the (Italian language) information about the pass that it is available at TreNord machines. I'd be surprised if they reprogrammed the few in Piemonte to act differently.
You do know that you can't get on the EuroCity (the one from Switzerland) which goes all the way to Garda without the change at Milano Centrale. You can only use regionals.
Thank you so much for your replies. I will be leaving in 9 days time and will update on this once I'm back to help others in the future for their planning.
