Donna Leon talks about why she first went to Italy and why she loves it so much: https://wapo.st/469bWpd
Thanks, Nancy! I have read all of her books and shall seek out this one too,
thanks nancys8, and thank you for giving the story.
a good read, and I'm sure the book is, like all of hers.
Yes, thanks. I didn't know she'd written a memoir.
Thank you for that information. I'll have to read it. I enjoy all the Commissario Guido Brunetti books and the TV series in which much of Venice is featured.
We’ve also enjoyed many of the books. Lindy, where are the TV shows available? Thanks.
Love these books, reading one now actually!
According to Google the TV Series can be found on Amazon Prime and YouTube TV.
I’m going to check it out:)
I believe we watched the series on MHZ. Really well done. Don’t be disconcerted by Brunetti speaking German, except for an occasional “ciao”. Lol
I watch the Brunetti tv series on Amazon Prime with my subscription to MHz Choice. Leon would not allow the books to be translated into Italian and the tv series is also not in Italian. It's in German. There are subtitles, of course, in English for us.
Thanks all for the tips.
