Internet Train Ticket Question

I was fortunate to be able to buy tickets for the train form Rome to Venice for my trip later this week. I received an emailed "ticket" (as a pdf file). It shows that the tickets have been padi for and lists our seat numbers. My question is, do i need to do anything before boarding the train? Or do i just show it to the conductor as he comes through after we board. The ticket has a bar code on it. It says "To register your presence on board, please notify the ticket code (PNR) to the train personnel" I don't know if that means to do that before we board or after...can anyone help? Thanks in advance!

Since the ticket is train/seat specific -- i.e. only good for that train and time -- just show to conductor when or if he comes around.

Hi; We had the pre-paid tickets bought online when there in September; and you just get on board, find your seat; and the conductor when he comes round scans or types the code on your paper into his little machine; and that's it! There's nothing to do before you get on board. Make sure you get on board as soon as you can, as most trains have limited room to store luggage.
Have a wonderful trip!
