Since the Italian government took over Air Italia, I wonder if anyone has flown internationally with them? Also appreciate comments about their domestic service. Thanks.

We’ve flown ITA Airways a few times domestically, Pescara to Milan Linate. No issues, pricing acceptable, baggage allowance greater than the discount airlines. I have no idea what type of planes they fly internationally; to me, the plane type makes a greater difference to comfort than the brand. I would not be concerned about flying with them if they had a route that interested me.

If you plan to fly out of LAX non stop to FCO with ITA Airways flight AZ621, ITA operates that flight on a brand new Airbus A350-900
