International converter/adaptor needed?

My husband must use a Cpac to sleep at night. I have a Remington international converter/adaptor. Can this be used for the Cpac?

Most items and chargers (including CPAP machines) manufactured in the past 5-10 years are multi-voltage, but you need to check to be sure. For each device your are considering taking, look at the charging "brick" or on the device itself (you may need a magnifying glass). If next to "Input" it says both "100-240 volts" and "50-60 Hz" you are set. These items are multi-voltage, and only need a plug adapter. You can get plug adapters in a variety of places, including Amazon, Magellan, and Rick's own Travel Store, where they are now on sale for $1 a piece: http://tinyurl.com/4dd4h. For Italy, you want the bottom one in the picture (the small 2 pronged one), which is for Continental Europe. (The large 3 pronged one is for the UK and Ireland). Get several, since they're easy to lose. If your CPAP is three prong, you'll have to get the specific adapter for Italy, such as the ones sold here on Amazon: http://tinyurl.com/d5su4o7 If the CPAP is 110-120 volts (but not above 200) or 60 Hz (but not 50 Hz), you will need a converter with the correct specs. Post EXACTLY what it says about wattage and such on the device, and which model of Remington converter you have, and others can say if it is suitable.

You'll need an adapter because the plugs are different. You may not need a converter if your machine is a dual voltage. Check the specs in the machine. See if it says 115v~240v. If it does you are covered. Europe uses 220v. You still need the 2 round prong adapter though.

And note that your husband's device is a CPAP, for "continuous positive airway pressure." CPAC is something quite different (and saying any more will get me kicked off this Helpline, but you can Google for more information).
