When we arrive in Zurich from US later this month, we planned to fly to Venice (our first city/stop in Italy). Rates are almost $800 for the one-hour flight! Is there a better way to get there quickly from Zurich to Venice? Or other less pricey airlines?
I suggest taking Ryan Air--I'm not sure if they fly from Zurich but it is worth a try. My parents are flying from Frankfurt to Venice for 11Euros.
Hi just having a quick look , and it does seem an expensive route.Without knowing your dates, I tried Easyjet and the route Basle-Berlin, Berlin_Venice on 24 May, comes out at about $150 each.I dare say there might be an extra smallish fee for checking luggage, thats how the low cost airlines try and rake a little extra in.
Remember that some/many of the discount airlines fly out of secondary airports, often some distance from your desired destination.
