Interesting northern Italy suggestions

Flying out of Bologna mid September and have about a week before that and would LOVE suggestions of different, off the grid, still accessible by train/bus (no car) experiences. Love to cook, hike, explore and just want to 'chill' in Italy. I have been many times and seen the main places and want to possibly know something from all of you that might be nice to end with on my journey. Hopefully I will still be able to go with all these changes. Help :). Oh love water, lakes and oceans. Thanks in advance for your help.

It's a bit of a trek from Bologna (three hours, I think?) but Trieste is lovely.

Senigallia and Fano are two cute seaside towns on the Adriatic. It's not really off the beaten path, but I hope to get to Ravenna one day to see the mosaics. Chioggia has always sounded interesting to me as well, but I don't know the transit details.
Hiking and bus/train access can be difficult, but there is a lovely park just north of Pesaro called San Bartolo. I wonder if bus access would get you there.
What is your starting point?

We enjoyed our stay in Camogli - It's a beautiful, relaxed village on the coast and the restaurants there were really great! Lots of excellent seafood and focaccia - don't know if that's too far to travel from Bologna. We did several nice hikes from there (one to Recco for more focaccia and gelato). There was a tribute to the Beatles performance at the local theater - we went and it was so much fun!

There is a train station in Camogli and you like larger cities, you can easily do a day trip to Genoa for a visit to the large food market, shopping and more. It's a really interesting city!

There is lots to explore along that coastline - from Camogli we also went to Santa Margherita Ligure, and Portofino - especially Portofino was really crowded - we weren't impressed.

Just remembering this trip makes me happy! I'm thinking of the beautiful sunsets at the end of each day!

Thank you for your suggestions. I started in the Rome area, to Abruzzo (first time there) and then a stop in two favorite places Firenze and Cinque Terre before heading north for a week. Thanks for any and all suggestions. :)

Is everything already booked? You might want to play around with the order a bit if possible. My suggestions in Marche might work better after Abruzzo. If the order cannot be changed, then I think something in Liguria would work well (like the suggestion above for Camogli).

Agriturismi are generally difficult without a car. As I understand it, Lake Como is easy without one, and you could easily do Florence-Milan (to access the lakes)-Bologna.

Look at Ravenna. It's an easy trip from Bologna, has astonishing mosaics, it's on the coast, not tourist blitzed, and it has a pleasant atmosphere. If that's not enough cred, consider
-It was the capital of the Western Roman Empire in the 5th century ad and later (6th–8th century).
-There are 8 UNESCO World Heritage sites.
-The world's two most famous mosaics -- of Emperor Justinian and Empress Theodora -- are here.

Other than cities, the only place in Italy we didn’t ever rent a car, four trips there, is Lake Como. The ferry system will transport you all over this beautiful lake.
