Insieme Offer with Trenitalia

I will be booking rail tickets for six adults for travel April 5, 2020 from Napoli to La Spezia. Has anyone used this option that could give me advice where to find it on the Trenitalia website?
Thank you.

The Insieme offer is for 2 to 5 adults and is 30% off the Base fare, and does not apply to regional trains. Your fastest way on this date is a Freccia train to Florence, then change to a regional train to La Spezia. However, Super Economy tickets for the Freccia train to Florence for your date are more than 60% off of the Base fare, and you can buy tickets for everyone in one shot. So that is what the Trenitalia site will show as the best price, 263.40 EUR for 6 adults, nonrefundable. There is one cheaper option, but that takes at least 3 hours longer as it uses regional trains from Rome with an extra train change in Pisa.

PS, that price is if you buy now. As time goes by, the Super Economy tickets will disappear, then only Economy tickets will be available. That might bring the Insieme offer into play, but you will have to make 2 purchases, one for 5 people and one for the 6th person.

Thank you Sam. However, I am confused. When I put the 5 April 2020 date for 6 people, it only shows me trains for 6 April 2020.
Also, what does the block "Main Solutions" mean?
Do I have to wait until 15 Dec to book when the new schedule comes out?

You did not adjust the time for beginning 7 am. If you don't do that, it will default to the current local time in Italy, probably quite late, thus showing trains for the following day.

"Main solutions" just means of the multiple possibilities, we are showing you the most sensible connections.

It shows you can buy now, even with a regional connection.

Understand. This is what I am looking at:

Another question on train ticket from Napoli to La Spezia. On trenitalia.it I chose departure on 5 Apr 2020 as
Napoli Central to La Spezia 11:09-17:20, one change in Florence 14:11-14:52.
Chose Super Economy which charged 257.40 first leg and 84.00 second leg. For a grand total of $341.40 for 6 adults.
Does that sound reasonable?
I know people are saying wait until 15 Dec. Should I?

Sorry to be a nuisance.

Prices do not go down, they only go up. There probably will be no price increase in the next 20 days, but who knows?

You are paying 14 EUR pp for the Florence-La Spezia leg. That never changes. Then 44.50 EUR pp for the Naples-Florence leg. That could go as high as 76 EUR pp as time goes by.

It's trenitalia.com , if you see prices in $ you are on a fake site

You have to wait up to December 15 to be sure you are seeing the complete schedules, not because of lower prices to be uploaded. If you are happy with those departure times and those fares, get the tickets.

Sorry. Prices were in Euros. My next question I found a train with two changes, first in Florence, second in Pisa with approx 15 min to switch at both. Trains are Frecciarossa to Regionale Veloce to Regional. Are these trains in the same vicinity that we will be able to manage this having never done it before?

There was one train with one stop but it has a shopping cart icon with a slash thru it. Do those ususally become available?
So grateful for your advice.

Sure, most probably on December 15. I guess the reason it's not yet on-sale is the Slow Intercity 550 for the Naples-Rome leg. The earlier solution departing at 11:09 has only one change, you would have 40 minutes to transfer from one train to another at Florence SM Novella station and those tickets can be bought now. At only 56.90 € pp it's a bargain, but keep in mind that SuperEconomy tickets can't be changed and can't be refunded.

By the way, is La Spezia your final destination? If you are staying in one of the Cinque Terre villages you'd better put its name in the "TO" box.
