I use Google Maps and rome2rio.com
They are very accurate.

Don't rely too much on Google maps and Rome2rio, they are not always accurate.
But this is pretty easy, train from Innsbruck to Bozen, and a bus from there. Or train from Bozen to Waidbruck and then a bus.

We have done it the opposite direction. Direct train, about two hours. Make reservations here https://www.oebb.at/en/. There are direct trains at 9:24, 11:24, 13:24, 15:24. A bus from Bolzano to Ortisei is about an hour and leaves from the bus station that is a short walk to the left as you exit the Bolzano station. That is the economy option. A taxi will be Euro 90-100.
Edit: the bus station is to the RIGHT when you exit the station. Sorry!

Look for trains Innsbruck to Bressanone/Brixen and then buses from Bressanone/Brixen to Ortisei. Not going all the way to Bolzano and then backtracking could take out an hour from travel time.
