Info on trains in CinqueTerra

Can anyone point me to a site that offers the scheduling for the trains running in cinque terra? Who runs them, pointers, pricing, etc...

Larra, Your best source of information is Trenitalia. They are all "run" by Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, the national rail system. Note that schedules are usually only posted a few months in advance, however they don't tend to change too often. Could you provide more information on where you'll be travelling? Hopefully you won't be there in the near future, as at least two of the villages have just suffered severe flood damage. Cheers!

The trains running in the CT are mostly all Regionale (local) trains operated by Trenitalia, the Italian national rail system. There is the very occasional faster train that stops at a couple of towns in the CT but it's mostly the Regionale local trains. As Ken points out, you can easily see the schedules on www.trenitalia.com. As a general rule, there is no such thing as a direct train from areas outside of the CT. You will most likely change trains 1-2 times coming from Florence, Bologna, Milan or Rome to the CT. Fares from Florence are about 14Eu. During the busy season, they do get crowded as tourists go from town to town. Fares between the towns are about 1.5Eu but you can get a Cinque Terre Treno card that provides unlimited train rides as well as free access to the famous trails. These cards come in 1, 2, 3 and 7-day versions. Here's a link for information on the card. http://www.parconazionale5terre.it/upload/5terre%20treno%20loca-ita.pdf
