Individual Tickets or a Train/Bus Pass in Sicily?

We are 2 married seniors who will be in Sicily for 14 days. We will be getting around from Palermo to Cefalu by train or bus, Palermo to and back to Santa Flavia probably by bus, Cefalu back and forth to Castlebuono by SAIS bus, Cefalu to Catania by train or bus, Catania back and forth to Syracuse by bus, and finally Catania to the CTA airport by shuttle or bus. That’s a total of at least 8 bus and train tickets per person.

Would it be better to buy individual tickets or get a pass that would cover all train/bus rides for the two weeks?
Thank you.

That kind of pass is a wonderful dream but, unfortunately, Sicily is not Switzerland - different animal entirely! I’ve done two trips there, for a total of five weeks, all by public transportation, and it just involves piecing it together as you have mentioned. Happy planning!

Hello,
I have been to Sicily a few times and have always used public transport. In Catania there is an airport bus that you can buy tickets from the driver when you get on. I would just purchase tickets separately as there are different bus companies as well. I found buses to be the way to go in Sicily.
