Have any UK citizens travelled to Italy in the last week ie since 31st August who were double vaccinated in the UK with Astra Zeneca but one doze was one of the Indian made batches. My NHS pass says vaxzevria but the batch number indicates its manufactured in India. Are you being accepted as being double vaccinated so don't have to quarentine?
I am due to fly in the next two weeks so looking for confirmation as have conflicting information so far.
In that case, no. Italy will not consider you fully vaccinated as they only recognize EMA-approved vaccines.
Hi - Did you manage to obtain any information about this - we are in the same situation and hoping to travel shortly.
Basically we have been told that the batch was reported in the press incorrectly as being indian manafactured and that the Vaxevria is accepted everywhere but obviously don't want to risk it if this is not the case.
Thanks
Hi,
I spoke to the Italian embassy and they advised I would need to quarantine for five days as I was not recognised as being double vaccinated. I have had to cancel my trip.
We are in the same position but We're in Venice now .The app that is used here to see that your vaccine is valid is verificaC19 you can download this to check your own covid passport qr code Our s with the Indian batch number was valid
