Has anyone booked an independen bike tour with Randotrek Tours. Were you satisfied with their service and the tour route? Did you use their accomodation service and were the accomodations good? We are planning to do the Eutruscan Trails in Maramma Tuscany in October. We are planning to do the low budget carrying our gear for the ride. Grazie!

I have not used Randotrek Tours, but can recommend Cicloposse. We've used them twice, and were very happy both times
Did self guided tour in Umbria, and second one in Maremma last May. Prices have gone up a bit with the Euro, but the hotels were wonderful, pre trip planning and even a phone call at the last hotel to check on us.
We even "customized" our plan for a longer tour of 9 days instead of the usual 7 last May. You'll get a book with the info you need for sights to see, recommendations for eating, etc - great souvenier to take home. We also each got a great bike jersey...NOT a t-shirt.
They transport your luggage from hotel to hotel.
You could ask if they can arrange a cheaper version for you...they might even do the tour where you carry your gear on the bike, and they would charge you less.
I'd email and ask if they can do your type of tour you want and give you a price. Check out their website first...
