Incontience Poise Pads

I have a problem with Incontinnence and need to know where I can purchase Poise Incontinnence pads in Europe for women.
We are traveling to Venice Italy, Sienna - Florence, Rome, Florence, Lautetbruenen, Verona, Vicenza, Longare, Garmisch Germany, Salzburg Austria, Hallstatt Austria, Ivo Sweden and Copenhagen Denmark. We've never traveled to Europe and aren't sure where to purchase these.

In Italy, I'd check at Conad City grocery stores; they have a nice personal hygiene section. And the Farmacia, they also have a nice personal hygiene section.

Are you doing your Kegel exercises every day, three times a day, three times each of a 10 count hold. Works like magic. Start now and you'll be in shape for your trip.

You won't find anything like a RiteAid or CVS, and most big grocery stores either don't carry many toiletry items or aren't in the town centers. All towns in Europe seem to have pharmacies which are clearly identified with green neon cross signs. The signs are visible from the road, and your hotelier knows where they are. They have comprehensive inventories, but you won't find any American products or labeling that you would recognize. You'll want to learn and write down the local language for a similar product for each country. When you go in to the pharmacy, say Hello in their language and show them your note pad. Things are often kept in the back or under the counter, and you won't be able to browse in a pharmacy very long before they ask you what you want, so just go straight to the person at the counter with your request. Have a great trip!

Kegal exercises are great Sandra. But they are not enough for many people , here are various medical conditions that can cause incontinence , birth injuries and prolapse issues as well as surgical injuries , that no amount of kegals will make a marked enough difference to preclude needing pads .

Julie I think if I was you I would bring at least a small supply with me ( and I know depending on level of protection you need they can take a fair amount of luggage space , or very little ) . And I second the recommendation of having the words " incontinence protection or pads " written down in Italian sonyou can present it to a pharmacist . Pharmacies in Europe are different as many things are behind counter , sometimes everything is !!! The pharmacists are very good though , it's just awkward when you have to ask for somethings and don't know the correct words , try pantomiming in a foreign pharmacy , I've had to do it and it's hilarious ( later not at the time )

Ps In Germany most will
Speak English , I have not been as lucky in Italy .

Good luck

Some brands are the same in Europe, some aren't. I don't know if or where Poise is sold in Europe. You may find another brand. You might want to take as many as possible with you. As you get rid of them, you'll have room for purchases. Obviously you can't do that with only a small carry on, but you should be able to get a couple packs into a larger suitcase.

You won't have a problem finding what you need - go to a pharmacy first to get help figuring out what type of pad you need. They may be cheaper at supermarkets, but first find the right product, pharmacy staff will help.

I've never seen poise pads in Austria on the shelf in stores. In smaller towns like Hallstatt, it will be impossible to find them. I'd go to an Apotheke (pharmacy).

I take long trips and pack a fair amount of toilet paper (needed in Italian public restrooms) and facial tissues with me. That stuff takes up a lot of space but can go inside a compression cube with other things for which wrinkles are not a concern.

Before you go up the hill to Lauterbrunnen shop in Interlaken. The pharmacy may help, but both Interlaken stations are near very large supermarkets. At Interlaken Ost, where the train goes up the hill, there is a Coop across the bus stop from the station. I'd prefer the 2 storey high MMMigros (3 M's so they will have most everything, 3 is as big as they get) which has a large selection of most everything.

I don't think you will find your brand anywhere in Europe. Both branded and house brand products are of very good quality. Lots of European ladies have similar problems so there is no difficulty meeting the need.

Exactly, I've gone into grocery stores and farmacia and just spoke out loud about a need, and somebody, customer or worker, comes up and helps. It's common to be escorted to a shelf and shown all available options. Often they'll pick one and recommend it.

I had the funnest experience at the Farmacia at SMN at Florence. After I chose my item, another customer escorted me to the line, then went to get a ticket number from the dispenser, gave it to me and took his place in line behind me.

I am not sure that you will find the specific brand, however it should not be difficult to get pads anywhere. They are sold in pharmacies (more expensive but better stocked) and large supermarkets. A particularly well stocked drugstore is Müller in Garmisch. (It also has a branch in Salzburg, but near the station and distant from the center).
