Hi everyone,
We are in Verona for 2 more nights. We would like to take a day trip to Bolzano or Ortesei. What is your advice as far as the time spent traveling to either of these points? Our purpose is to enjoy the views, and walk a bit. We are not hikers. Thank you so much for your input.

There is a good bit of travel time involved, but you can do it. The train to Bolzano takes about 1-1/2 hours; those faster trains run at least every 75 minutes, sometimes more frequently. The bus to Ortisei takes about 1-1/4 hours and seems to run every 30 minutes. You can get the bus very near the train station. You can find the bus schedule by Googling: bus Bolzano to Ortisei.
