Which bus do we take to the top of the Janiculum? We want to walk down and continue a long stroll that day. Our hotel is near Termini. Is there a way to find out what bus to take? Or would a taxi be a better bet?

you need the 115 or the 870 from the Vittorio Emanuele II bridge area.
The no. 40 goes there from via Nazionale.

The #40 also has somewhat of a reputation for pickpockets (although not as bad as the #64), so you'll need to be vigilant. DON'T forget to validate your ticket!
