My husband and I are here only for the night and need a restaurant recommendation near the Hotel Berna. We've spent our time in France this trip so didn't buy the RS Italy book. Can anyone help?

Osteria del Treno Via San Gregorio 46/48 Two blocks from your Hotel. Reviews on Tripadvisor pretty much what I found the place to be. I enjoyed it immensely. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g187849-d1214759-Reviews-Osteria_del_Treno-Milan_Lombardy.html

Toward the train station, on the right side is a glass enclosed cafe. My wife and I had most of our meals there for a week.

Thanks everyone. We were out the door on our way to the Duomo when I posted, so your responses came too late. :( We didn't check with the hotel because we were staying in the building across the street and didn't walk by the desk on our way out. We were eager to take advantage of the last hour of daylight. Anyway, we ended up in a so-so restaurant on a lovely street somewhere in Milan! Nigel (I think it was you), I especially want to thank you for suggesting on another thread that we go to the Cote d'Azur for our brief vacation. We flew into Milan on frequent flier miles (plus $93 taxes), and found a lovely apartment in Vieux Nice for 500€ for seven nights. It was a wonderful trip! Excuse me if this post isn't making sense. We just got home and I'm a tiny bit jet-lagged. Happy Travels!
