In Florence now question

We purchased the combo ticket for the Duomo and other entrances plus have a booked time for the climb to the top. Is there a special entrance at each place for this type of ticket? I can’t see any entrance other than the line that stretches a loooonnggg way around.

Thank you!

Hello TravelisFun,
I bought the same kind of ticket and did both climbs back to back about two weeks ago. The lines is long for the Dome climb and they DO check your entrance time closely. If someone is in front of you that has a later time, they`ll ask them to move out of the way. There is only one entrance for the Dome climb and that is to that left of the entrance with the Baptistry at your back. For Giottos bell tower, I just went to the entrance, showed ticket, and got my pack inspected, and up I went. I hope I answered your question. Have fun!

TravelisFun, the duomo's website has a handy map that shows you where the entrances are for the dome stairs, the museum, etc. It's on this page:

As shown on the map, the dedicated entrance to the dome is on the north side of the church (the left side as you are facing the front).

Thanks! We had Uffizi prepurchased tickets with entry 8:15-8:30 this morning. We passed the piazza on the way to Uffizi and saw people standing around at 8:00 am, two hours before it opened! By the time we got over there, the line was crazy. I couldn’t tell if that was the entry line or ticket line or what. It was so crowded! We waited until much later in the afternoon and went into the cathedral museum and the baptistery. We will try to get into the others tomorrow since we have 72 hrs from first use of our tickets.

But you understand that your booked time for the duomo climb means you don't have to deal with that long, free-entry line for the cathedral, right?
