In case you were ready to blow $42,000 on this...

...do be aware that you will not see the long, windowed corridor of sculpture shown 'cause it's at the Uffizi.
At least they bizbagged the opening shot about 30 minutes ago; also the Uffizi.

I am amused.

Tip: Ya'll can go see Giambologna's marble "Rape of the Sabines" for free at Loggia dei Lanzi if the plaster cast isn't doing it for ya.

Oh, and I WAS going to splurge slightly and do that. Sigh, oh well, maybe I will just spend it all on gelato.

Even if I had the money, I would not spend C$55,870 for a two hour museum tour and some fancy victuals (especially if I didn't have a choice of foods). This story brought to mind the old saying by P.T. Barnum that โ€œThere's a sucker born every minute.โ€

Thanks for that, Kathy! I got a chuckle out the mention of the Giambologna plaster!

Wow! Itโ€™s truly amazing that someone would actually pay that much for a private two hour tour!

I could take about 10 trips to Italy for that amount of money!

Or we could take 7 close friends and party it up in style.
